Case

case fan can be fitted on to the back, side or front of
the case, depending on case type. |
CD
Rewriter
|
Plays
CD's, records CD's and CDRW's. Useful data backup up
to 700Mb. |
We
will install the CDRW into a spare 5.25inch bay or replace
the existing drive already fitted.The drive will be supplied
with all necessary cabling and connected. The software
to function the drive will be fully installed. A further
test will be carried out to check if operational. |
CPU
|
The
CPU is the brains of the computer, where most calculations
take place. It is the most important element of a computer
system. Having a fast CPU (measured in MHz) greatly
aids in the overall speed of your system. |
The
motherboard will be checked to see what type of processors
are compatible. The old CPU will be removed along with
the heatsink/fan. The new CPU will be fitted including
the fitting of the old heatsink/fan or if necessary a
new heatsink/fan. The system will be fully tested. |
Data Backup

Backing
up required data from your computer to another computer,
or backing up to CD, DVD or other storage device. |
DVD
Rewriter
|
Plays
CD's and DVD's, records CD's and DVD's. Reads and writes

slot or we will replace the existing card on the motherboard,
giving 3 external firewire ports and 1 internal firewire
port. The drivers will then be installed and the firewire
ports tested. A 6-4 pin firewire lead is included. |
Floppy
Drive

Floppy
drive is 3.5 inch and holds 1.44Mb of data. |
We will install the floppy drive into a spare 3.5inch
bay or replace it with an existing drive already fitted.The
drive will be supplied with all necessary cabling and
connected. The bios will be updated. A further test will
be carried out to check if operational. |
Graphics
Card
|
The
part of the computer that displays images onto the monitor.
It is fitted with memory and a GPU processor dedicated
to calculating the graphics in a game. The GPU and memory
takes the load off the CPU during gameplay. |
A
check will be carried out on the motherboard to see what
type of graphics cards are compatible, AGP or PCI-EXP.
The required card would then be supplied and fitted into
the expansion slot on the motherboard. Drivers will then
be installed. Tests will be carried out to ensure the
card is running satisfactory. |
Hard
Drive
|
The
hard drive stores all the computer's information and retains
the information when the computer is turned off. A fast
hard drive is needed to supply the CPU with data as fast
as it needs it. Hard drive sizes are typically measured
in GigaBytes. The larger the number, the more applications
and games you can have installed. |
We
will install the hard drive into a spare 3.5inch bay or
replace the existing drive already fitted.The drive will
be supplied with all necessary cabling and connected.
The hard drive will have windows installed if required. |
Heatsink
& Fan

Placed
on the cpu to extract heat and keeps the processor cool.

The
old heatsink and fan will be carefully removed from the
CPU socket and disconnected from the motherboard. The
new heatsink and fan will then be fitted to the CPU socket
and connected to the motherboard. |

modem card will be fitted into a spare pci expansion slot
or we will replace the existing card on the motherboard.
The drivers will then be installed and the modem tested. |
Motherboard
|
The
heart of your PC, it handles system resources as well
as core components like the CPU, and all system memory.
It accepts expansion devices such as sound, network
cards and modems. |
We
will disconnect all the cables to the motherboard and
remove it from the chassis of the case. The new motherboard
will be fitted into your PC with all necessary cabling
connected. The CPU, heatsink/fan and memory will be installed
to the new motherboard. The system will be booted with
bios updated and software drivers installed. |
Network
Card

An
expansion card that is installed in an available pci slot
in a computer so that it may connect and communicate to
another computer.

network card will be fitted into a spare pci expansion
slot or we will replace the existing card on the motherboard,
giving 1 external 10/100 network port . The drivers will
then be installed and the network port tested. |

of Symantec Corporation and one of the most popular anti-virus
programs around. |

Security

efficient, comprehensive Internet Security protection
on Microsoft Windows. The features include its standard
AntiVirus engine, AntiSpam, Firewall, AdBlocking, parent
control and other useful protection tools. |
Norton
Internet Security will be supplied and installed on to
your PC. It will be activated, then updated over the internet
using a unique product key which comes with the cd. |
Printer
|
Sprays
fast drying ink through tiny nozzles onto a page to form
characters. The inkjet is the standard for personal computer
printing. Fast, affordable and relatively quiet it provides
high quality graphics, and prints in colour. |
The
printer will be plugged into the PC. The drivers and software
needed for the printer to work will be installed on your
PC. A test page would be printed to test the printer. |
PSU

The
power supply unit is a device that supplies electrical
power to the motherboard and attached devices . The wattage
is a measurement of total electrical power. |
The installation includes disconnecting the old PSU and
connecting the new PSU to the case and connecting all
power cables. A test will be carried out to make sure
everything is functional. |
SATA
Card

This is an interface for connecting hard drives to a motherboard
. Unlike IDE which uses parallel signaling, SATA uses
serial signaling technology and uses 7 wires interface,
instead of the 40 wires used in IDE/ATA interfaces meaning
a much faster data transfer rate. |

giving 2 internal sata ports. The drivers will then be

Scanner
|

scanner will be plugged into the PC. The drivers and software

PC. A scan would be performed to test the scanner. |
